It's a Question of Honour

[ mood | bored ]

It is Sunday afternoon and I am washing clothes. I love my non iron shirts. All I have to do is wash them just like other clothes and they come out perfectly. Haha! I am working on Happys computer right now. I have been working on it almost all week. I am getting paid nicely for it though so I am not going to complain.

I didn't do much of anything Friday night since I have such a big social life. Yesterday I went to lunch with Yonnie at Ale House and then went to Best Buy to purchase a modem for Happys computer. I installed the modem and did some more updates. Then I went back to Yonnies and we went walking on the trail with the dogs. It was a gorgeous day outside. We came back to Yonnies and watched this program on the travel channel about living on the edge. There was this one house on the side of a cliff in an area where avalanches are frequent. They had to use a small cable car that was not enclosed to get up to the house. That is not my idea of a fun life. Anyway, the house was pretty cool though.

Not a lot else is going on. I did order the new Karaoke Revolution game. It is released on Tuesday so hopefully it will go out in the mail this week. I have already told Esther and Drew so they can come and practive. Hopefully I can get myself together to do a karaoke party. That would be a lot of fun. Especially if it is a bring your own bottle party!!! Haha!

Anyway, that's all for now!

[ mood | sore ]

I haven't updated for a while. Let's see......a lot has been going on. First of all my knee is KILLING me right now. I went on a cruise two weeks ago and danced for about nine hours straight. Well, since I don't dance on a regular basis (or ever) I was extremely sore after the trip. My knee continued hurting and I am going to the doctor tomorrow because I twisted it or tore something. It is pathetic because I am having trouble getting up and down stairs or walking sometimes. I did all kinds of dancing. I have witnesses to it also. The highlight of the night had to have been when this one lady asked me to go home with her (or back to her cabin), but before she would take me she had to check with her husband first. Haha! Well, it turns out that she owns a restaurant here in town so maybe I will see her again. And, no, I did not actually go with her. I am not that type of person! Ha! I had dance moves that I did not know I could do. I had one of those plastic necklaces given to me while dancing because I was told I was the best dancer there!! Haha! I kick ass! I was actually hit on about ten different times by women of all ages.

This past weekend was a lot of fun. I spent most of the day with Esther, Drew, and Victoria on Saturday. We all went out to lunch then we went over to Esthers so she and Victoria could work on their costumes. We all talked while Esther and Victoria were sewing. We also played Catchphrase which is a great game. Drew and I then went to Chick Fil A to get dinner for everyone. When we got back all of us ate and then shortly after went upstairs to watch the Shining. I had some interesting commentary on that movie, and damn.....that Shelly Long is one unattractive beast. At the end I swear she screamed when she saw redrum in the mirror not because it spelled murder, but because she was so damn ugly. After the movie Esther, Drew, Victoria and I went back downstairs to work on the costumes some more, but that didn't last long because it was close to midnight and we were all tired. We did have a lot of fun though!!

On Sunday I went over and had dinner with Esther, Drew, Bert, Yonnie, Hannah, Steve, and Georgia. After dinner we played Catchphrase for a little while. Esther and Drew came over to my house afterwards and we played Leisure Suit Larry which is an awesome game. Esther and Drew left around 9:30 or so and I came up and watched TV then went to bed.

On Monday, I went over and stayed at Yonnies for Halloween. Esther, Drew, Victoria, Dakota, and I watched Poltergeist which is a totally stupid horror movie, but still fun. Dakota and Victoria left so Esther, Drew, and I finished the movie.

Last night I went to dinner with Esther, Drew, Hannah, and Yonnie at the Japanese steakhouse in Madison Heights. It was very good!! Esther and Drew rode home with me and we stayed at Yonnies for a little while and then I came home. Esther and I both had headaches. Mine was pretty mild though. We both took medicine. My headache went away. I hope yours did too E!!!

Tomorrow night is OC again so our weekly OC parties will start up again. I am very anxious to see what is gonna happen this season. Haha!!

Okay, I am gonna watch TV then go to bed. I can't wait till my knee feels better!!!!

[ mood | tired ]

This weekend has been fun!! I was actually very busy yesterday. I cleaned the house (for the most part) and washed the car. I went to work for a little while to empty some papers out of my desk. I never get the chance to go through that stuff when people are there so I went in when I knew the building would be empty. I also went to Little Ceasers and got a large pizza which I ate all by myself yesterday.

This morning I got up and drove to Bedford to see a client and he wasn't home. I was pissed since I had to drive all the way to Bedford for no reason. Anyway, I came home and watched TV then went with Esther to the pet store. She bought some things for her hampsters. Then I went to the movies with my mother and my grandmother. We saw The Constant Gardner. It was quite good. I then came home and Esther and Victoria came over and Ria came over a little while after they did which was fun. I am now updating my journal. I just finished cleaning out my top dresser drawer. It was full of receipts that needed to be tossed. I also found a ton of change in the drawer so I will have my mum roll it for me at the bank and put it in my account.

My mother bought a new car this weekend. It was quite a surprise. It is an Isuzu Rodeo and it is very nice. I know she loves it. Now I want a new car. I am going to trade in the convertible and the Camry on a new car when I am ready. I cannot believe that I did not get any calls on the convertible since I have had it for sale. I will just keep it until I am ready for a new car. Hopefully with both cars I would get a nice trade in amount for my next car.

My office is going on a retreat next Friday to Camp Virginia Jaycee. It should be a lot of fun. This is the first retreat I have been a part of where I am one of the supervisors. You know what that means.....I will have to lead some kind of damn team building crap. I hate that shit! When we go on a retreat at work we cannot just have fun. We have to have some kind of formal activity for part of the day. I don't like team building. Of course I will put on a happy face and do what I have to do. Since the gas prices have gone up so much I have signed out a state car to take on the retreat. I was going to leave from home and take my own car, but right now gas is too expensive to do that. Of course that probably means I have to carpool with some of my staff. I just want to go alone and in peace!!! Haha! This is going to be a great retreat!

Anyway, I think I shall get in bed in just a minute. I am pretty tired. Thank goodness I have the day off tomorrow. I am very happy about that. Also, with the retreat this Friday that means I only have a three day work week! Alrighty, I will update again later!

If 3 Win or Lose | It's a Question of Honour

[27 Aug 2005|09:52pm]
[ mood | crappy ]

Well it is Saturday night again and I am home alone. Nothing new there. I have been working at the Democratic office again. I spent several hours there today. I am getting close to the end of the initial work that the computers need down there. I have worked pretty hard to get that office up and running and it is looking good.

I have had a headache pretty much all day today. That usually happens on the weekends. If I sleep later then I usually have a headache and don't feel as good during the day; however, if I wake up at 7 on a weekend and know that I don't have to get out of bed then I certainly will go back to sleep. I am sure I will feel the same way tomorrow. Oh well.

We are interviewing at work on Monday and Wednesday and I certainly hope we get some good candidates for the openings we have. I don't have much hope though from reading through the applications. Maybe the interviews will be excellent though. I have to go to Danville on Monday afternoon for a client. I am so tired of my job. I have to go all the way to Danville to sit through a doctors appointment and find out why the hell my clients doctor has decided that the client no longer needs medication. Doctors are the biggest damn morons sometimes.

I am depressed on top of everything else. The entire week has been pretty down. I don't have anything to look forward to right now. There are things to look forward to such as vacations; however, that is a year away. I should think positively, but a year is a hell of a long time to wait. Maybe I can take a small trip during the year. I was talking to a friend of mine recently about taking another cruise, but I don't know if that will happen or not. I think it certainly could happen if I start dating her friend. Who knows. Single life sucks sometimes.

Okay, I think I am done complaining for now so I will udpate again later.

If 6 Win or Lose | It's a Question of Honour

Saturday night [20 Aug 2005|08:17pm]
[ mood | annoyed ]

It is Saturday night and I have been gone almost all day. I took the convertible today and had the oil changed. I also asked that the belt that squeaks so much be checked. The mechanic told me it was the alternator belt and he sprayed some stuff on it and it stopped squeaking. He said the belt looked fine. Well, he told me that the belt may start squeaking again and if so they could replace it. Well as I was driving home guess what.....that damn belt started squeaking again. It is not nearly as much as it was, but I think I will ask that the belt be replaced.

After I got home I went to Best Buy to buy the ethernet cables for the Democratic office. Three cables at fifty feet cost $120. They are reimbursing me and they better do it fast. That was a lot of money! Anyway, I spent almost all day at the headquarters trying to get their computers up and running. I was pretty successful. The problem is these are old machines and some things that I wanted to do with them I couldn't. Anyway, I think I spent about five hours there this afternoon. I still have things to do, but I don't know when I will go back.

I am not doing anything tonight (surprise, surprise). I am going to watch TV in a little while. I have two movies here from Netflix, but I don't really want to watch either one of them. I have to work tomorrow for three hours. It isn't bad though. I have to help the client do his laundry and sometimes take him to the store. It is a nice extra income for doing household chores. I usually do not touch the laundry though. I let him do it. It is always very dirty. He is not a neat person. Anyway, the client has now moved to Bedford so that is the only problem now. It is an hour round trip and of course I cannot bill for travel time. That really annoys me. I hope one day Medicaid will change their views on travel time. I am still using my time when I am in the car driving and I do not think it is fair that we cannot bill Medicaid for out travel time. Anyway, maybe I will call and make a complaint. Haha!

Anyway, I don't know what I am going to do for the rest of the night. Sometimes living alone can be so boring. I will update again later!

If 2 Win or Lose | It's a Question of Honour

[15 Aug 2005|06:22pm]
[ mood | contemplative ]

I know I haven't updated in a long time so I thought it is time. I just got back from the beach late Friday night. We all had a great time. I hated going to work today. It actually was not that bad of a day, but there were a few things that happened. I have to go to Bedford tomorrow and Thursday. I also have to work in Bedford tomorrow night until around 8 or so. I am hoping that it won't take that long though.

I bought some clothes at the beach. I bought a martini tie at the suggestion of Esther and Yonnie. It is quite snazzy. I wore it to work today and had a lot of compliments on it. While we were at the beach we played badminton a lot. Yonnie bought a set and we put it up in the backyard. Some of the matches were pretty intense. We would play for hours every day. The schedule in the afternoon usually consisted of Dr. Phil from 3 until 4, Judge Judy from 4 until 5, and then badminton for several hours. One night we played up until about 8:30. Yonnie bought some new rackets off of Ebay since the rackets that came in the set were not as good as we hoped. The birdie kept going through the strings while we played.

I won two auctions on Ebay last night. I won a set of martini glasses that looked pretty cool. They have a red stripe in the stem. I also won an auction for a martini shaker set. It looked pretty cool too. I need to go buy some Vodka so I can mix them. Yonnie bought me a chocolate martini mix that only needs Vodka added to it. I need to buy all of the ingredients though so I can become an expert at making them.

I think I am going to go vacuum now (yeah right) so I will update again later.

If 2 Win or Lose | It's a Question of Honour

[ mood | content ]

I thought I needed to update again. I just finished paying bills and that is always depressing. At least I was able to put money in my IRA and investment accounts today. It was a long day at work. I did have a great dinner though as I always do from At Home Gourmet. People at work still laugh at me when I tell them I use that service. It is awesome and the meals are always great!

I am toying with the idea of selling my convertible. I have decided that I need money in my account more than a second car sitting in the driveway. I think I am going to sell it; however, I have not decided for sure yet. I am still waiting on the title from the DMV and I called yesterday and was told it could be several more weeks before I get it. Of course I cannot sell the car until I have the title. My plan is that I can sell the car and then be that much closer to buying a house. I talked with my financial advisor today (yes I officially have a financial advisor) and he told me that the rates are great right now and not to wait too late before seriously considering a house. He also told me that he has several realtor friends he would put me in touch with and make sure that they take good care of me. I will see what happens though. I certainly cannot do anything anytime soon unless I sell the car.

I had to have my cats ass shaved yesterday morning. His hair grows and clogs up his anal passage and shit gets all over him and he cannot clean it. It smells awful of course. I phoned my supervisor to let her know that I may be a few minutes late yesterday morning as I called the vet at 7:30 a.m. and they were able to take my cat right away. My boss, Jane, said that she laughed at the message I left her telling her why I might be late. She told me that when her cat had shit on his ass she referred to the balls of shit as dingle berries. Well, I had to be honest with her. I told her that my cats ass problem was not one of dingle berries, but one of chocolate moose. I think you all know what I mean. Of course Jane thought that was hilarious!

Esther and I went to Barnes and Noble on Saturday and had some chocolate cheese cake and mint mocha frappuccinos. I think the actual name of the frappuccinos was a few words longer, but mint and mocha were in them. They were sooooo good! In fact I almost went out to Barnes and Noble by myself tonight to get one of their desserts and read. They have the best drinks and desserts there. Anyway I am going to go pick out a movie to watch in bed so I will update again later!

If 10 Win or Lose | It's a Question of Honour

[04 Jun 2005|09:17pm]
[ mood | horny ]

Today I went to Charlottesville and spent the entire day. I had to help my friend Mary do some things at her house. I am pretty beat now. I have also had a headache all day and it doesn't seem to be going away.

Not a lot is going on right now. Work is about the same. There are some things going on at work that are annoying me, but that is always the case. I would be very interested to look into the future and see where I will be in the next 20 years. I bet that I will be far away from human services. Believe it or not I think it would be pretty cool to have a help desk position at a large company. That might actually pay pretty well depending on the company. I certainly wouldn't find a position like that around here for a large salary, but who knows.

I just signed up with Netflix since the Walmart DVD service is shutting down. I started watching a movie called Metropolis last night. I rented it from Netflix because someone told me about it one time and I thought it would be cool to see it. Well, it came out in 1927 and yes....I know that movies were very new then; however, it did not cross my mind that this could be a silent movie. Well of course it is a silent movie and quite freakish. I don't think I will finish it because I was bored sick with the first twenty minutes and it is kind of creepy. You can imagine that the special effects are non existent. The story though sounded neat. I don't know if I will finish it or not. I am liking Netflix. There is not much wait for the movies. I think I received my DVD's from Netflix sooner then the DVD's fromn Walmart.

I got a new speaker cover for one of the speakers in my convertible. The cover was broken and I found a new one on Ebay for $6. I ordered it and it is perfect. The convertible seems to be doing great though there is a leak somewhere in it because I can hear water sloshing in the back after it rains. This could be a problem. I can't find the water either which makes it even more of a mystery.

Now that I am back from Charlottesville I am hanging at home. I did make $70 today which is great. I have already deposited it into my account. I can't wait until I am out of debt and am able to buy whatever I want and save a lot of money (hopefully that will happen someday). In two years my car is paid off and a year or so after that I will have two of my other debts paid. I am hoping in three years I will be able to start saving a lot of money each month. I am trying to save now....it is difficult though. My student loans are eating me up.

I went to the office tonight because I wanted to try and long into my agency email. It is evidently not set up yet. I was told that all of our user names and passwords were delivered to our mail boxes on Friday, but due to some annoyances at work I laid low Friday afternoon and did not get my user name and password. I got it tonight and could not log in which probably means the new email system is not active yet. I am really excited about it because it will be external email!! Our current system is only for internal email to other employeers. Our current system only allows for 500 users which sucks because we have over 600 employees right now. Because of this, some of my staff are not on email which means that when I send out an email I have to print copies and put them in mailboxes of staff who do not yet have email. This is a real pain in the ass. With the new system everyone in the agency will have email. This will be great! I won't have to print emails out for people anymore, and when other people send out emails I wont have to print important ones and put them in peoples boxes because everyone will get them! Haha....it's the little things sometimes that really excite me.

Well, I have to go. I am browsing online. I will update again soon!

If 2 Win or Lose | It's a Question of Honour

[16 May 2005|05:18pm]
[ mood | hungry ]

Well, it has been a long time since I updated my journal. I am off all week on vacation. I am leaving to go to the beach to meet Yonnie and Steve on Wednesday morning. I am enjoying these first two days just doing things at home.

I had to go to City Hall today to get a city sticker for my new car. For those of you who do not know yet, I bought a 1989 Chrysler Lebaron convertible about three weeks ago. So far it is doing great. I am still waiting on the permanent license plates to arrive. I called the dealer again today because I figured the plates would be here by now. The morons had not even sent in my registration so I told them to send it in today, no excuses, because my temporary tags expire in one week. The dealership assured me my registration would be sent in today. They will be hearing from me if those plates are not delivered by next week.

Not a lot is going on right now. I just got back from picking up my dinner at the At Home Gourmet. I love those ladies!! I have ordered dinner from them for two weeks now and I love it. Tonight I am having saucy stuffed shells, a citrus salad, a crusty roll, and a brownie. Dessert is always excellent! I think I am going to use this service Monday through Friday for dinner each week. Too bad they don't work over the weekend.

Work has been keeping me busy as always. Luckily I have not had anything too major happen in the last few weeks. We are almost fully staffed now which is great. Hopefully it will stay that way for a few months at least before someone quits or has to be fired.

I have new neighbors moving in shortly. Thank goodness the other people are gone. They were driving me crazy. I am hoping these new people will be good neighbors. Of course I am the epitome of a perfect neighbor that eceryone wants to have! My mother told me some interesting info last night about mortgages. She told me that I may be eligible for a mortgage now with little or no money down. She is looking into it for me. It is wonderful having a parent as a banker. My mother told me that I may be eligible for a very decent mortgage so lets hope it works. There is a house on East Randolph Place that I would LOVE to buy, but they are asking $152,000 for it so for a first house that is out of range. I don't understand though.....the house only has two bedrooms and is not that big. I know location is the key for a house, but the house is off the main drag and with only two bedrooms the asking price seems awfully high to me. Anyway, I know at some point I will have my first house and I need to be patient.

Well, I have to go and do some things so I have to run. I have to get ready to eat my wonderful dinner too. I will update again later.

It certainly has been long enough since I last updated. What a long weekend it has been. I have not done much of anything. Sometimes I think my laziness on the weekends actually makes me feel bad. I frequently have headaches on the weekends and they typically last all day. I know it seems strange, but I wonder if I wouldn't have headaches if I were more active. I had a little headache yesterday, but not really any today which is nice.

Today for Easter I had dinner with my family. My mother and grandmother fixed dinner and we ate at my mothers house. My uncle Tim ate with us also. We ended up watching The Exorcist, The Beginning. Quite an interesting movie to watch while eating dinner. Watching a movie though with my family is often quite entertaining because of the ongoing commentary provided by everyone. My uncle Tim tends to talk the most and my grandmother will say things like "Tim, I don't know where we would be without your running commentary". It is quite funny because usually the commentary from Tim will center around a scene such as the following: There is a scene in the Exorcist where a child is attacked by coyotes (or some other four legged animal). Well, my grandmother decided not to watch. The running commentary provided by Tim was something like "Oh my god mother the boys arm was just ripped off, Jesus Christ they just tore his leg off and ripped it to pieces, dammit, they just splattered his brains all over the place". Naturally my grandmother closed her eyes so she could miss all of those details and good old uncle Tim fills them right in with nauseating detail. Haha, good times at the Jackson home! Anyway, it really is fun watching movies with the family sometimes.

Work is about the same. I have a few things going on right now that are really annoying. I continue liking work overall though. I am off tomorrow and I was off this past Friday. It is nice having a four day weekend. The only problem is that I have been totally bored for most of the weekend and I almost wish I could go to work tomorrow. How weird is that?

Good news.....it looks as though my horrendous neighbors are moving out. There is a sign in the front yard advertising the apartment next door. Looks like the neighbors from hell will be gone in a few weeks. Hallelujah!

I finished watching season's two and three of 24. That show definitely has my vote! Season four should be out in a year or so. The current season is underway, but I won't watch it because I think I would be physically ill for a year waiting to find out what happens. I do love that show! Those of you who know me well know how much I love 24!

There actually isn't a lot else going on right now. I am looking forward to a week off in May. I am taking three weeks of vacation this year and I have not even been with the agency for three years yet. What a great leave package they offer! I guess that is all for now. I know I always say that I will update again sooon, but I often take weeks to update again. Talk to you later!

Well, I think it is time for another excellent update. I am at home right now working on stuff from work. I am not supposed to bring stuff home, but if I don't then I will not get my work done. I still like my job, but my staff constantly bother me with questions. I have decided that effective this Friday I will have protected office hours which means that no one from work bothers me from 8:30 until 12:00 every Friday morning. I am hoping this will work out. Anyway, not a lot else is going on. I just paid all my bills. God, I never get a break with money, but the good thing is my savings account is building rapidly with my new savings plan so I will have plenty in there before long. Yay! I think buying a house will happen within less than a year. Of course I need to keep saving. Ok, I know this is a really short entry, buy I am IM'ing some people now and I don't feel like updating anymore so I will try and do a long update tomorrow or the next day. Haha!

It's time to update again. First of all, I love Esther! I just got home from dinner and dessert with Esther. I picked her up from Drew's house tonight at 5. We were on our way home and then decided that we wanted to go out to eat somewhere since we were both very hungry. We ended up eating at Fazoli's. We were both very irritated because the bread stick lady took forever to come out to replenish the breadsticks. Well she finally did come out and she got to our table (the last table she could get to) and she had run out of breadsticks at the table before ours. We were highly annoyed. So once again we waited while she replenished her little breadstick basket. Finally we got the extra breadsticks (after we had both finished eating our meals though). We then decided to go to the Sundae Grill for ice cream. It was very good! I could not finish my whole sundae, but Esther finised hers. Then we came home. Definitely good times!

Last night Esther, Victoria, and I went to the mall. Esther and Victoria went to Express, American Eagle, New York and Company, Gap, and Sears. I went to S&K Menswear to find some pants. Of course they were all out of the cheap pants. I am not very particular about my pants because I am usually sitting down. Cheap pants I can deal with, but shirts are a totally different story. I LOVE my shirts. Well, long story short....I ended up spending $400. I am okay with that though. I planned to spend $300. I will make up the difference when I get paid again. There is a shirt that I feel I must have from Brooks Brothers. It is from their luxury line. It is gorgeous. I have not decided if I will order it or not because the shirt is $108. I would need a tie to match it also and that is going to run around $50. I will keep thinking on it and make a decision. Knowing me I will order it later tonight. After Esther, Victoria and I went to the mall we then went to Osaka's for dinner. The food there is really good. After that we took Victoria home and then Esther and I went to 7-Eleven to buy Yonnie a lottery ticket. It was good times!

Work has not been too bad lately. I had to go to a workshop for first time managers yesterday and that was pretty good. It lasted all day. I think the highlight of the workshop was when the instructor called on Corine. Corine is my equivalent over the mental health department. Well, at first he looked at her name tag and called her Colleen, then after lunch he called her Chloe, and the absolute funniest part was when the instructor then called her Chlorine. I was about to burst out laughing and I could not stop myself. I had to work hard to keep the laughter in. The problem is that everytime I would think about it for the next half hour or so I would get that feeling that I was going to burst out laughing. I had to think of other things so I wouldn't embarrass myself by laughing hysterically in front of the group over something that happened thirty minutes before.

Not a lot else is going on right now. I will be glad when the weekend gets here. I have to go to Charlottesville on Saturday, but hopefully will be back by 6 or so in the evening. I am leaving around 10 in the morning so I shouldn't be gone too long. I am patiently awaiting my tax return so I can deposit it in my savings account. The state refund is due any day now. The federal refund should be here within a few more weeks. Anyway, that's all for now. I will update agian soon!

Sunday Morning [06 Feb 2005|11:13am]
[ mood | awake ]

This has been a fun weekend. Friday after work I picked Esther up and we went to Best Buy and bought The Grudge and Scary Movie 3. We then went to Chick-Fil-A to get dinner. After that we went through the car wash because my car was completely filthy from the weather we have had recently. We then went to Dairy Queen for ice cream and then came bnack to my house and watched both movies. Though The Grudge is a silly horror movie there were a few scenes that made Esther and I jump (actually several scenes that made us jump). It has several creepy parts to it. Scary Movie 3 was totally ridiculous of course, but hilarious.

Yesterday Yonnie and I went to Ale House for lunch and then to Sprint and Target. I finally found a new plastic holster for my phone so I bought it. I am very excited about it. I no longer have that leather case that covers the buttons and such on the phone. This new case is awesome.

My cycloptic kitty is sitting in the window sill looking down on the road. He is such a funny cat. Well, Yonnie and I may go walking this afternoon. I need to call her and see. I believe I am going to my mothers tonight for dinner. Some Sunday nights my mother, grandmother, and I will have dinner and watch a movie at my mothers house. I usually supply the movie since I have the biggest collection so I need to pick one out to take tonight.

My aunt Sarah is coming to town next weekend. It is her 50th birthday and we are having a party for her. It is going to be a blast!

Well, that's all for now. Sorry so short. It is time for me to get something to eat. I will update again soon!

[ mood | blah ]

Well, it is Sunday evening and I have to get ready to go back to work tomorrow. Our survey team came and reviewed our agency on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday last week. There were no problems with case management services!!! That is awesome! I think we are going to get the top honor from these reviewers again.

I haven't gone out this weekend because of the weather. We didn't get as much bad weather as we were supposed to, but at least we got some. Looks like we will have to be at work on time tomorrow though. I was hoping we could get a day off. Esther came over last night and we watched the Village. Then we watched all of the DVD extras for the Village. Sometimes the DVD extras can be really cool. I walked Esther home and Yonnie, Esther, and I watched I Love the 90's on VH1. It is a pretty cool show.

Anyway, sorry this is so short, but I don't feel like typing right now. I will update again soon.

If 3 Win or Lose | It's a Question of Honour

[ mood | moody ]

Well today is Sunday and it is another boring day. I had to go out for a little while this afternoon and do some things. I am back home now with nothing to do. What fun! I do not have to go to work tomorrow which is great. We have the day off, but I think there are some people who are going to go to work. I am thinking that I am not going to go in unless I get totally bored here at home. Yonnie and I watched the Village on Friday night. That was actually a really good movie. It was not the stupid horror movie that I was expecting. It has some twists and turns that cannot be figured out. I helped Yonnie build her new cabinets at her house yesterday. We worked all day on that. They are very nice. Today I don't think I am doing anything for the rest of the day. My mother did go to Washington for the weekend so I need to go to her house later and check on things. I might play pool while I am there also.

Unfortunately I do not have a lot to update today. I am not in the best mood, but anyone who knows me knows that I can be moody sometimes. It looks like the people who live across the street behind my house have moved out. They always annoyed me because of the way they would park their cars. They would tell their friends that it was okay to park in our driveway also since Bobby (lives in the basement of my house) told them they could. Well, they have only been in the house for about five months or so. I am confused why they are moving, but oh well. At least I won't have to go through the aggrevation of them parking funny anymore. I guess that is all I have for now. Leave some comments. I will update again later!

I have to leave for work in a minute. [06 Jan 2005|07:55am]
[ mood | sleepy ]

This update was originally supposed to go on yesterday, but every time I tried to post it live journal said that it was doing maintenance and to try back later. Well, I tried for about three hours and every time the site was under maintenance so here is my update for 1/5/05.

Well, I am updating again. The live journal site is under maintenance right now so I am typing this in word and I will paste it when the site is working again. Today has not been the best of days, but it will pass and hopefully tomorrow will be great. I took my cat to the vet this afternoon. He has a problem with the hair around his anal region. It gets very thick there and when he goes to the bathroom the shit sticks to his fur, sometimes entire pieces. I forget about this because once he is shaved it take a good three or four months before it happens again. Yesterday morning and this morning when Charlie came out of the cat box he dragged shit with him onto the kitchen floor. I picked him up and looked and there was a lot that was stuck that he could not clean. I tried to get some of it out when I came home for lunch, but it was obviously painful because he hissed and growled until I let him down. I called the vet and made an appointment for this afternoon. I started thinking that he may be uncomfortable because his little asshole might be blocked by the remaining shit. I was really concerned so I took him this afternoon and the vet shaved him. He seems to be back to normal now and he no longer seems uncomfortable. I will have to start taking him in every few months so the vet can shave him.

Anyway, I did very little at work today. I ran the staff meeting and then went to lunch and to a quick meeting. When I got back from my afternoon meeting I left to take Charlie to the vet so there really was not a lot that I did today (or yesterday come to think of it). I am getting back into the routine. Tomorrow I will be pretty busy as I have to go to Altavista in the morning (wish me luck Esther because I am taking the ghetto blue car tomorrow!). We have this old car at our office that I usually take (when it is running) because no one ever wants it. Well, that works well for me because I am almost always guaranteed a company car when I need one. If it breaks down then I call the office and they send someone to get me and the maintenance man takes care of towing the car so I don’t have to fool with it at all if there are any problems. I like when I have to go to Altavista and other places like that because it is time away from the office and it takes a while to get to these places. I think we are about to hire a replacement though for my old position which actually will suck because I will have to give up most of the clients I have been working with and that means no more trips to Altavista, Appomattox, Bedford, and Amherst. I knew it would happen sooner or later though so it’s okay, plus we need the help.

I decided to file a fraud report with Ebay tonight for the auction that I won at the end of November, but never received. I paid for the auction in November and then started getting suspicious that the auction was fake. I emailed the seller many times and could never get a straight answer from the seller when my item was shipped. The seller never would provide a tracking number (though I asked for one repeatedly) and I never got anywhere. I later found out that the seller canceled membership with Ebay before the auction was complete. I called Ebay and put the fear of God into the representative I got on the phone. I emailed the seller and told the seller that I was registering a formal complaint against him with Ebay and that I knew the auction was fake. The seller emailed me back and told me that when I receive my merchandise then the seller would register a complaint against me. Well of course I never received my package. I im’d the seller a few times and was told that the person I was im’ing was an employee of the seller and that the seller was away because her daughter had been in a car accident. Naturally I did not believe the story, but I did give the benefit of the doubt. I waited patiently for this “employee” to get a tracking number for me. I never received it. I tried im’ing some more and was told that the seller was still with her daughter. Well, I filed the fraud report tonight so the seller should be getting an email about it. I don’t believe the seller has a daughter who was in a car wreck. Anyway, I won’t get anything out of this other then possible satisfaction. I am still pissed though since I lost $38. Anyway, we will see what happens.

I am washing some clothes now and then I will get in bed soon. I watched Seinfeld tonight. I love that show. It comes on again at 9:00 so I will probably get in bed and watch it then. Anyway, this is one of the longest entries I think I have had in a long time. Leave some comments for me! I will update again soon.

If 1 Win or Lose | It's a Question of Honour

Back home [02 Jan 2005|05:48pm]
[ mood | thirsty ]

Well, I am back home now. The trip is over and it is back to work tomorrow. Ugh! I had a great time in New York and did a lot of different things. I am glad to be home though. I like coming home after being on vacation. My uncle and I walked around Fifth Avenue on Friday and did some shopping. After that we took it easy and did not do a whole lot. We went to the Waldorf again for dinner on New Years Eve. It was quite good and after three chocolate martinis I was pretty well gone. The trip home was long. We had a change in our flight and instead of leaving Newark airport at 11:15 we were able to get on a 9:15 flight. We were in Charlotte by 11 and then did not take off again until 2:30. At least we had time to eat lunch. We were back in Lynchburg by 3:30.

Today Esther and I went and ate lunch at the Yellow Sub. That place is great! It is a cool restaurant inside and out. The ladies who work there are pretty amazing. I had not been to Yellow Sub with Esther for a month or so and when we walked in the lady knew exactly what we wanted without having to ask us. She named the two subs that Esther and I had the last time we were in there and asked us if we wanted them again. It is pretty amazing since it has been so long since Esther and I were there. We were very impressed! Anyway, I really like going there. Esther and I went to Walmart after Yellow Sub because I needed to buy some things. I finally bought a new shower curtain and some air filters which I have needed for a while. I am now home washing clothes. Fun!

Anyway I don't have anything on my schedule tomorrow at work. I did that on purpose because I did not want to come back to work after vacation and have a busy day. It is nice being able to sort of make my own schedule at work. I have to be there from 8:30 until 5 every day, but I am able to self schedule when I meet with people. If I don't want to have any appointments on a Friday or Monday then I don't have to have appointments on a Friday or a Monday. I guess I am looking forward to going back to work, but I am sure tomorrow will be a depressing day. Way to think positive huh? I will update again soon!

If 2 Win or Lose | It's a Question of Honour

New York City [29 Dec 2004|02:51pm]
[ mood | satisfied ]

Hello, hello!
I am in New York City right now. There is internet in my room, but it costs $10 a day so I think I am only going to sign up for it today, but we'll see. It is a ripoff because the room costs $340 a night and they want to charge $10 a day for internet. They even charge for each outgoing local phone call so I cannot even dial into a local AOL number without getting charged. I tried to connect to a wireless network in the area, but I could not get my computer connected even though two networks showed up. Anyway, this is a quick update. All is well. No serious family conflict yet. I went to the Brooks Brothers store today and bought three shirts and two ties. I am going to wear one of the shirts and tie tonight to the play. It should be awesome. Anyway, I gots to run now so I can get ready to go out tonight. I will be home on Saturday. The damn horns blowing in the street below are driving me nuts. I am on the tenth floor of this hotel. The Waldorf Astoria is right across the street from my hotel and we had dinner there last night. I had a Margarita, a Chocolate Martini, and a glass of champagne last night. I was not doing well on the walk home. Haha! Anyway, leave some comments and I will update again as soon as I can. Bye!
